Strategy & Enterprise Architecture (EA) connects the organization's strategic direction with the capabilities, operating model, information, applications, and technology required to execute that strategy. EA provides the structural bridge between business ambition and implementation.
Strategy defines where and why → EA defines what must change → Implementation delivers the change
Software-house example:
If the strategy is to become an AI-enabled digital transformation company, EA translates that ambition into required business capabilities, organizational changes, data capabilities, AI platforms, application architecture, technology standards, and implementation initiatives.
Strategy → Business Architecture translates strategic direction into the business structures required to execute it. Business Architecture identifies capabilities, value streams, business units, stakeholders, processes, and operating-model components that must support the strategy.
